First, I had a bad experience here with a gift certificate. The management refused to honor it because the dollar amount had been corrected with white out. They unfortunately didn't keep their record of it. The credit card receipt was attached showing the full amount, but it had a two-day discrepancy from the handwritten certificate. That was enough to make them question the authenticity and accuse me of altering the document. I was not happy since someone paid them $50 for a gift certificate I wasn't able to redeem. Seemed pretty unfair. So I boycotted the restaurant for months.

I used to love the food here back when it was the “old Asia”. I’ve been back twice since the reopening and both times the food has been over cooked, soaked in grease and flavorless. I won’t be giving it the 3rd strike after 2 bad experiences back to back. Only local Chinese restaurant I’ll go to now is New Century in St.Johnsbury, same taste and quality as the “old Asia” and always satisfied with the service.

But let's get real. We live in this place called the Northeast Kingdom and there's not much Chinese food to choose from. So, more recently, I decided to give the restaurant another try.

Greatest Chinese Food restaurant in the Northeast Kingdom. The wait staff has always treated us like royalty, even though many times we don't deserve it...We look for excuses to get there, when ever in the area. The Oriental drinks they pour are unmatched!!!

Fast friendly freshly fried food. They also have good non deep fried food. Try the Singapore Noodle. (Don't let the name fool you; you get more than 1 noodle with each order)

In summary, I had a one-star bad experience and a five-star good experience, so three stars overall. I would avoid purchasing a gift certificate because they might not honor it, but otherwise it seems like a good option for dining out in the NEK.

A really good place to eat. The staff is very nice. They are always coming up with new items to try. Avoid the buffet places and enjoy really exceptional Asian American food.

The food was good and the service was excellent. They seem to have fixed the dining room temperature and ambience issues that the Asia of past years seemed to struggle with. It was clean, bright, and pretty packed at the dinner rush. And the waitress and hostess were pleasant and accommodating.
